Core Points - The General Administration of Customs of China has implemented comprehensive registration management for food production enterprises exporting to China, covering 94,000 enterprises from 178 countries and regions [1][2] - A total of 1,901 types of high-quality agricultural and food products from 135 countries and regions have completed quarantine access [1] - The customs authority conducts risk assessments for first-time imports of animal and plant-based foods and mandates 100% registration for overseas production enterprises of imported foods [1] Group 1 - The customs authority has strengthened port inspection processes and is advancing the construction of a smart customs system, utilizing intelligent inspection technologies and equipment [1] - In the first ten months of this year, customs completed supervision and sampling of 97,793 imported agricultural and food products, with 690,000 tests conducted [1] - A total of 7,138 batches of non-compliant agricultural and food products were either returned or destroyed [1] Group 2 - The regulatory framework for imported food is characterized by cross-linkage across different segments, regions, and departments [2] - Customs has enhanced collaboration with market regulation departments to establish a joint prevention and control mechanism for imported food risks, increasing information sharing [2] - From January to October this year, 86 cases related to imported food issues were investigated, with a total value of 2.65 billion yuan, and 745 smuggling cases were handled, amounting to 8.17 billion yuan [2]
