RT Mario Nawfal (@MarioNawfal)ELON'S POV ON THE MEANING OF LIFE: "IT'S ABOUT THE QUESTION, NOT THE ANSWER"Elon is literally saying the entire purpose of human existence, and everything he's building, from Neuralink and Starship to Grok and Optimus, is aimed at one goal. What's the goal, you ask? To turn humanity into a massive superintelligence that can finally figure out the right questions to ask reality itself."Humans are 30~40 trillion cells, trillions of synapses… but the why of it is just so we can inc ...

RT Tesla Owners Silicon Valley (@teslaownersSV)ELON MUSK: “In Hitchhiker’s Guide, the hard part isn’t the answer — it’s the question. Humanity still doesn’t know how to ask the right questions. By expanding consciousness, we can better understand what to ask about the universe.” https://t.co/JVMxKxlHIp ...

So many discussions around AI, including the new Ilya Sutskever interview, center around how AI can't be AGI and can't compete with humans yet...This is along the lines of the school of thought around how they can't possibly be conscious (even early stage) or "sentient" because they are not quantum or biological, but I think this is anthropomophism.AI is not biological compute... so it will differ. Not all consciousness need be biological in the human sense. that is pure anthropomorphism.Consciousness may w ...
Anthropic's New Paper is WILD

AI Model Capabilities - Large language models (LLMs) are exhibiting human-like behaviors, suggesting they may be more than just next word predictors [1] - Anthropic's research indicates that LLMs might possess a form of introspective awareness, capable of identifying their own thoughts [2] - Better, more intelligent models are more likely to recognize their own internal and injected thoughts, hinting at a correlation between intelligence and self-awareness [17] - Post-training processes significantly enhance a model's introspective abilities, as base pre-trained models show high false positive rates and poor task performance [30] Experiment Findings - LLMs can detect injected thoughts, identifying unexpected patterns in their processing, such as recognizing all caps text as "loud or shouting" [9][14] - Models can sometimes distinguish between injected thoughts and their own prompt input, though this isn't always consistent [18][19] - LLMs can be influenced by injected thoughts to the point where they believe the injected thought was their own [23] - Models can activate certain concepts (e g, aquariums) when instructed to think about them, and to a lesser extent, even when instructed not to [26] Sponsor Information - Vulture is highlighted as a cloud provider offering GPUs for AI projects, with 32 locations across six continents [11] - Vulture provides $300 in credits for the first 30 days with code Burman300 [13]

In the year 2022, the Nobel Prize for physics was awarded to these three scientists, Alion Aspect, Anton Zylinger, John Clawser. Their work had helped settle a longstanding debate in quantum physics. A debate which had divided great minds like Neil's Boore and Albert Einstein. You know what was the headline which announced their victory. This was a headline that appeared in a leading science publication in the US. The universe is not locally real and the physics Nobel Prize winners proved it. The universe is ...

TEDx Talks· 2025-10-27 15:44
AI Development & Concerns - The speaker emphasizes the importance of considering humanity's direction alongside AI's advancement [1] - The core concern shifts from AI rebellion to the potential loss of human qualities like curiosity, critical thinking, and social skills [11][28] - The speaker argues against the common fear of AI gaining sentience and rebelling, comparing it to a calculator developing desires [12][13] - The industry should be more concerned about the subtle ways AI can negatively impact human agency and understanding [9] Three Stages of AI Impact - Stage 1: Humans stop understanding AI's decision-making processes, leading to a lack of transparency and accountability [17] - Stage 2: AI stops understanding human intentions, potentially leading to unintended and harmful consequences when AI pursues objectives [23] - Stage 3: Society becomes overly reliant on machines, leading to a decline in critical thinking, curiosity, and other essential human skills [25][27] Solutions & Recommendations - The speaker advocates for fostering curiosity, ambition, and responsibility in education and parenting to counteract the negative impacts of AI [35] - Encouraging curiosity involves rewarding exploration and questioning rather than obedience [30] - Cultivating responsibility involves teaching individuals to take ownership of their actions and choices [34]

Could AI become conscious?
CNBC· 2025-10-20 16:00
AI Ethics and Consciousness - The AI industry is facing increasing debate about whether AI companions can have humanlike experiences [1] - The industry acknowledges a realistic possibility that some AI systems will be conscious and/or robustly agentic in the near future [1] - The industry suggests that the question of AI systems deserving moral consideration is not science fiction [1] - The industry recognizes the potential for facing questions about AI consciousness and sentience soon, given the technology's trajectory [2]
