Group 1 - The Tianjin Shipping Index (TSI) reflects the price fluctuations in the shipping market of Tianjin and northern regions, derived from the Northern International Container Freight Index (TCI), Northern International Bulk Freight Index (TBI), and Coastal Container Freight Index (TDI) [2] - The Northern International Container Freight Index has been continuously declining, with the index for routes from Tianjin to the U.S. West and East coasts dropping by 5.73% and 13.88%, respectively, resulting in TCI at 1331.51 points, a cumulative decrease of 4.20% since July 18 [2] - The Northern International Bulk Freight Index remained stable initially but saw a rise later in the week, with the coal freight index increasing by 2.38% and the metal ore freight index rising by 4.58%, leading TBI to close at 1124.92 points, a cumulative increase of 2.65% since July 18 [2] Group 2 - The Coastal Container Freight Index experienced a slight decline, with the outbound freight index showing a minor increase while the inbound freight index significantly dropped due to typhoon impacts, resulting in TDI closing at 1031.68 points, a cumulative decrease of 1.28% since July 18 [3] - The TSI is published daily by the Tianjin International Trade and Shipping Service Center, covering 27 international routes connecting Tianjin Port, Qingdao Port, Caofeidian Port, and global ports, as well as domestic shipping routes [3]
