Group 1 - The "Longgang No. 3" shield tunneling machine, developed by China Railway Equipment Group and China Railway Shanghai Engineering Group, is the largest diameter earth pressure/TBM dual-mode shield machine in China, marking the full entry into the large shield construction phase of the Deep-Shan Railway project [1][3] - The Deep-Shan Railway, a key transportation project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, spans 125.5 kilometers with six stations and 18 double-line tunnels, enhancing connectivity between Shenzhen and the Deep-Shan Special Cooperation Zone [3][4] - "Longgang No. 3" features a diameter of 14.29 meters, a total length of 125 meters, and a weight of approximately 4,250 tons, equipped with advanced systems for geological forecasting and monitoring, enabling safe and efficient tunneling through complex geological conditions [3] Group 2 - The completion of the Deep-Shan Railway project is expected to significantly promote the integration of the Deep-Shan Special Cooperation Zone with Shenzhen, facilitating deeper involvement in the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area [4] - The project will strengthen connections between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region and the coastal areas, optimize external railway channels from Shenzhen, and accelerate the construction of the Deep-Shan Special Cooperation Zone [4]
