厦门翔安国际机场工程南北跑道实现双线贯通
Core Points - The construction of Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport has achieved a significant milestone with the completion of the concrete pouring for the last runway, enabling dual runway connectivity. The airport is expected to complete debugging and be ready for flight tests by March 2026 [1] - The airport's current phase is designed to accommodate an annual passenger throughput of 45 million, 380,000 aircraft takeoffs and landings, and a cargo throughput of 750,000 tons. It includes the construction of a 550,000 square meter Terminal 1 and two runways [1] - Both runways are equipped with Category III Instrument Landing Systems (ILS) for the main approach direction and Category I ILS for the secondary approach direction, enhancing flight safety under adverse weather conditions [2] Infrastructure and Technology - The airport will implement a Category IV Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (A-SMGCS) consisting of 18,200 sets of navigation lights, which will provide real-time dynamic guidance for aircraft taxiing and enhance operational safety and efficiency [6] - A runway foreign object debris (FOD) monitoring system will be installed, utilizing radar and optical detection technologies to ensure continuous coverage and real-time alerts without disrupting normal flight operations [6] - An intelligent low-altitude intrusion prevention system will be established to monitor and respond to potential threats from birds and drones, improving the accuracy of low-altitude intrusion warnings [6] Construction Progress - The terminal building is undergoing rapid interior finishing, with cargo and aircraft maintenance facilities being developed concurrently. The overall construction of Xiang'an International Airport is expected to be substantially completed by the end of this year [6]
