Core Viewpoint - The upcoming launch of the "Yinli No. 1 (Remote II)" rocket on October 11 in Yantai is part of a broader strategy to enhance China's commercial space capabilities, with plans for multiple launches throughout the year [1][6]. Group 1: Launch Details - The "Yinli No. 1" rocket is designed and assembled by Dongfang Space (Shandong) Technology Co., featuring a total length of 29.4 meters and a launch weight of 405 tons [1]. - This launch will be the second flight test of the "Yinli No. 1" rocket, aimed at validating its reliability and launch process coordination [1][3]. - The rocket has a near-Earth orbit payload capacity of 6.5 tons and can carry 4.2 tons to a 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit, supporting the launch of small satellites [1][3]. Group 2: Satellite Payload - The launch will carry three satellites, including the Jilin-1 wide-field satellite for Earth observation and two experimental satellites for imaging space debris [3]. - The Jilin-1 satellite is developed by Changguang Satellite Technology Co., providing data services for land resource development and smart city construction [3]. Group 3: Launch Infrastructure - The launch will utilize the "Dongfang Spaceport" vessel, designed by Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Engineering Co., with a length of 162.5 meters and a payload capacity of 22,000 tons [3]. - The Dongfang Spaceport is the only commercial offshore launch mother port in China, covering an area of 34 square kilometers and featuring various functional zones for launch operations [3][4]. Group 4: Industry Development - Yantai has successfully conducted 19 offshore launches, placing 127 satellites into orbit, with 16 satellites being entirely manufactured in Yantai [6]. - The region aims to transition from "launch leadership" to "full-chain leap" in the commercial space industry, with plans to develop new liquid rockets and enhance recovery and reuse technologies [6]. - By 2030, Yantai targets an annual production capacity of 100 rocket launches, supported by integrated cost advantages in production, testing, and launching [6].
