Group 1 - The world economy is facing a complex and changing situation, making the deepening of economic and trade ties between ASEAN and China, particularly Guangdong, a strategic opportunity for regional cooperation [1] - Guangdong is a key engine of China's economic development with a complete manufacturing system and strong technological innovation capabilities, while ASEAN is one of the most dynamic developing regions globally, with a population of 680 million and a projected GDP exceeding $3.98 trillion in 2024 [1] - Since the establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, trade between Guangdong and ASEAN has become increasingly close, with Guangdong's trade with ASEAN accounting for over one-third of China's total trade with ASEAN in 2024 [1] Group 2 - ASEAN and Guangdong have the conditions, responsibilities, and capabilities to lead in regional supply chain cooperation amidst the global reshaping of supply chains [2] - Supply chain cooperation involves multidimensional collaboration beyond just the exchange of goods, including industry, technology, rules, standards, and talent [2] - There is a need to strengthen policy communication and create an efficient regional supply chain environment, supporting the construction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 and enhancing mechanisms for customs coordination, logistics, data cross-border, and industry connection with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area [2] Group 3 - Guangdong has a strong foundation in advanced manufacturing sectors such as electronic information, new energy vehicles, and biomedicine, while ASEAN has comparative advantages in resources, labor, and location [2] - By enhancing collaboration across the entire chain from R&D to production, assembly, and sales, a multi-level and multi-dimensional regional supply chain system can be established for mutual benefit [2] - There is an emphasis on deepening platform cooperation and expanding collaboration space, with Guangdong accelerating the construction of overseas industrial parks and encouraging participation in key projects across ASEAN countries [2] Group 4 - The future regional supply chain is envisioned to be open, inclusive, sustainable, and based on mutual trust and win-win cooperation [3] - ASEAN is willing to collaborate with Guangdong to create a new high ground for China-ASEAN industrial cooperation and a new model for supply chain collaboration, injecting stronger momentum into the construction of a comprehensive regional economic partnership [3]
