中国研制出不确定度指标最高光钟,720亿年误差不超过1秒

相关成果于近日发表于国际期刊《物理评论快报》(Physical Review Letters)。 据介绍,光钟系统不确定度直接决定了未来时间频率基准的准确性和可靠性。这项成果在基础研究领 域,将提升对基本物理定律检验的灵敏度,为探索超越标准模型的新物理提供更精确工具;在计量应用 方面,将为基于光钟重新定义国际单位制"秒"提供坚实技术支撑;在工程应用层面,将为发展下一代重 力测量、精密导航定位等技术提供核心频率基准。 据了解,光钟是一种利用光产生时间基准的精密仪器,是迄今人类能够实现的精度最高的时间计量装 置,在地球测地学、导航定位系统、通讯网络、城市交通管理等领域,发挥着重要作用。 目前,具有代表性的光频标体系有原子或离子,光钟可分为钙离子光钟、铝离子光钟、锶原子光钟、镱 原子光钟等。 中国科学院精密测量院高克林团队从事钙离子光钟研究近30年,于2022年研制出不确定度为3E-18(E-18 表示百亿亿分之一)、相当于运行105亿年偏差不到1秒的钙离子光钟。 此次研究在上述成果基础上,创新性发展液氮低温技术路线,攻克黑体辐射频移与离子热运动(宏运动) 精密控制等关键技术挑战,研制出总系统不确定度达到4.4E- ...
