7月27日,少林寺管理处发布情况通报:少林寺住持释永信涉嫌刑事犯罪,挪用侵占项目资金寺院资产;严重违反佛教戒 律,长期与多名女性保持不正当关系并育有私生子。目前正在接受多部门联合调查。有关情况将及时向社会公布。 9月4日,河南省佛教协会发文《守法遵规,正心持戒,维护禅宗祖庭清净庄严》表示,释永信长期担任少林寺住持,本 应潜心修行、立身为范,率众持戒、弘扬佛法,传承禅宗法脉,守护祖庭清净,然而其目无国法、罔顾教规,六根不 净、追名逐利,肆意妄为、屡破底线,背弃了正信正行的沙门传统,枉费了广大僧众的追随信任,辜负了党和政府的培 养重托。 释永信所作所为性质恶劣、影响极坏,不仅葬送了个人的法身慧命、伤害了僧众的淳朴信仰,而且侵蚀了佛教的健康肌 体、影响了河南省的良好形象。释永信行止失范、底线失守,自种孽因、终食恶果,已被撤销少林寺住持职务,注销教 职人员备案和戒牒。 河南省佛教协会坚决拥护、坚定支持对释永信的依法依规严肃处理,带领全省佛教界深刻反思警醒,深刻汲取教训,深 刻对照整改。持续在全省佛教界深入开展"坚持中国化·同心正道行"教育活动,教育引导广大教职人员像爱护眼睛一样守 护戒律,提升宗教修为,秉持道德素养, ...
