Group 1 - In the first half of the year, Beijing has initiated clean production work for 151 key units, with a total investment of 350 million yuan, achieving energy savings of 7,720 tons of standard coal, a reduction of 16,600 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, and water savings of 515,100 cubic meters [2][3] - Clean production is defined as an environmental protection strategy that aims to reduce pollution at the source, improve resource and energy efficiency, and minimize the generation and discharge of pollutants during production and service processes [2][3] - The Beijing Development and Reform Commission plans to strengthen top-level design and deepen regional cooperation to promote clean production transformation, contributing to the construction of an international green economy benchmark city by 2025 [2][3][6] Group 2 - The Red Bridge Market has implemented 11 clean production solutions, including smart power distribution and efficient cooling systems, resulting in significant energy savings and a reduction of carbon emissions by 2,898 tons [4] - The market's comprehensive energy-saving rate reached 16.62%, with annual operational cost savings of 2.2851 million yuan, showcasing the effectiveness of clean production practices [4] - Clean production is seen as a crucial support for building an international green economy benchmark city and enhancing the green competitiveness of traditional industries through improved processes and management [5] Group 3 - In the second half of the year, Beijing's clean production efforts will focus on integrating clean production with ESG mechanisms and promoting collaborative development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region [6] - The city plans to revise the clean production management measures to enhance the work mechanism and promote clean production with greater intensity and higher standards [6]
