传统艺术资源的当代转化——以中国美术馆“此中:竹与园的互观”展为例

作者:王萌(中国美术馆研究馆员) 当前中国艺术的发展呈现出鲜明的特点,那就是艺术创造自觉观照传统,在转化中开新,丰富的优秀传统艺 术资源对于当代艺术的气质生成亦起到支撑作用。近期于中国美术馆举办的"此中:竹与园的互观"展,正是 以策展方式对这一现象的研究。这次展览以"竹"与"园"这两个中国人所乐见的意象为引,其主旨并非复古或 怀旧,而是从时代语境出发,探索传统艺术资源的当代转化这一课题。 理解竹与园的当代转化,需要借助作品进入今天艺术家的创作逻辑,这便指向了策展的深层结构——对艺术 本体的探索。 "园语重构"单元,呈现的是艺术家如何将古典园林步移景异的造园方式、曲折尽致的空间叙事,转化为当代 装置、影像、雕塑、绘画等跨媒介语境中的内在结构。这已不再仅是造一个微缩的亭台假山,而是将"游 观"的体验本身媒介化,使观众的身体移动与目光流转于作品与作品之间,以及作品内部的构造方式与语言结 构之中。任刚的装置《对面的石与诗》以空间化的屏风矩阵,呈现青年艺术家游览苏州狮子林时被假山景观 所吸引的奇幻妙境,屏面呈现蓝绿盎然的视觉新境,融入造园叠石的"透、漏、瘦、皱"美学追求。徐累的 《霓石—散》将传统工笔技法和当代创作方式 ...
