野生苦荞为何更耐盐?我国科学家揭示奥秘

记者从中国农业科学院获悉,中国农业科学院作物科学研究所杂粮作物功能成分挖掘与新品种选育创新 团队日前联合国内外科研单位,揭示了镁离子转运蛋白FtMGT2基因启动子变异导致野生苦荞和栽培苦 荞耐盐差异的遗传机制。 苦荞是一种起源于喜马拉雅山区的重要杂粮作物,是高海拔冷凉地区群众主要的粮食作物。研究人员发 现,喜马拉雅山区的野生苦荞相较于栽培苦荞表现出更强的耐盐能力,但导致这一差异的内在遗传机制 尚不明确。 据介绍,研究团队对220份苦荞核心资源进行了耐盐性评价。研究发现,镁离子转运蛋白FtMGT2在苦 荞中不仅可以转运镁离子,还能促进钠离子外排,进而提高苦荞的耐盐能力。 通过进一步研究,研究团队发现这一基因启动子的关键元件变异导致野生苦荞耐盐能力增强,从而成为 野生苦荞和栽培苦荞耐盐差异的主要原因。 《先进科学》期刊近日发表了相关研究成果。业内人士认为,这项研究为利用野生苦荞的优异单倍型改 良栽培苦荞提供了理论基础。(记者古一平) 喜马拉雅地区盛开的苦荞花(受访者供图) ...
