【风物郑州】——见山见水见城郭系列报道 第四篇章:郑之地 山河形胜处 有城名荥阳 黄河水自青藏高原奔涌而下,过三门峡,穿小浪底,行至广武山与桃花峪间,忽然收住野性,漫成一川温柔。这里是黄河中 下游的分界点,南岸有城,名唤荥阳。 依水而兴 古泽流芳 要寻荥阳的根,得先寻水。《尚书·禹贡》里一句"荥波既潴",将思绪定格在四千年前的夏禹治水时代。济水自王屋山南下, 于中原腹地汇成浩渺的荥泽,水草丰茂,鱼鸟翔集。先民逐水而居,在此播撒文明火种。《荥阳市志》记载:"济水自温县潜 行入河,南溢为荥,聚集成泽,古称荥泽。" 大泽如镜,映着先民的耕犁与渔火。泽有明显的季节性,丰水期明亮,枯水期变暗,古人把这种明灭变幻交替循环的现象称 为"熒",并用它来命名这片水域。 战国时,韩国灭郑后,在荥泽西北夯土筑城,"熒阳"二字便刻进了大地。"阳"字暗含古人"山南水北""日之所照曰阳"的方位智 慧。位于郑州市惠济区古荥镇的荥阳故城遗址是河南省第一批重点文物保护单位。 后来,随着鸿沟大运河的建成,荥阳逐渐成为战国、秦汉一直到唐宋时期的水运重地。隋唐以后,"熒"字逐渐被"滎"取代, 最终简化为"荥"字。河南方言中,"荥"读作"xíng", ...
